During High School, Tino Started in his career in the late 1970´s as a machinist and welder for Westinghouse Electric, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while attending Pitt University at night, Tino then started Sharp Machine & Welding (SMW), Pittsburgh. SMW had explosive growth from 1980´s to 1997 becoming one of the largest machine builder of Steel Mill, Mining and Refining equipment in the US. With more than 460 skilled workers then sold to ITOCHU to focus on building 80% of US Pulverized Coal Injection System and Heat Exchangers. 

In 1998 Tino embarked on opening his first and second international operations, FABCO de Venezuela and SMPT Malaysia was formed to provide pipe prefabrication, small oilfield production modules.  In 2002 FABCO was nationalized in 2002 and SMPT was sold to IJM Malaysia in 2007.

In 2008 Calvert Gas Solution (formerly Calvert Group) was establish with the four exclusive licenses agreement including: Methane to Methanol Catalyst, OxEon Gliding Plasma Arch reformer and FT Reactor, NGC ElectroCatalyst Technology for H2S separation and Monobloc Reactor and recently 2024 the Thermal Plasma Pyrolysis for waste gas to H2 & Carbon Black production developed by the Czech Academy of Sciences.
